    About us

Our centre focuses on programs and learning activities designed to support each child’s interests and goals. These are complemented by our diverse community and culture that together offer a supportive and enriched environment where children can thrive.

    Key features of our approach

We design early childhood education experiences through:

    • child-led learning goals that are developed in close collaboration with the child, family and educators
    • gardening activities during which children are offered the opportunity to actively participate in growing vegetables and connecting with nature
    • our Munch & Move program that encourages healthy eating and physical activity through fun and engaging activities.

    Diversity and community

We support families and children using:

    • bilingual communication providing updates to parents written in two languages as needed
    • visual aids to help children express themselves and communicate with staff
    • language and key words from parents that are repeated and role-modelled in English to encourage language development.

    A typical day

We are committed to filling our centre with learning, fun and meaningful experiences. Our flexible schedule allows children to explore their interests and engage in activities that support their development.

    Morning

Once arrived and settled, the children join their friends for some early morning play. During the morning session, they have the freedom to choose whether they want to play inside or outside, and to choose activities that promote creative exploration and social interaction.

    Learning and play

At 11:30am, children come together for group time to participate in an Acknowledgement of Country, listen to stories, sing songs and talk about what they’re going to learn. This time as a group builds communication, social skills and a sense of community.

We also take regular visits to the TAFE library for story time and book borrowing, encouraging literacy development and sparking a love for reading.

    Mealtimes and rest

At lunch, children share their meals together. After lunch, they transition into rest time, where they are encouraged to relax, read books or play with puzzles. Rest time offers a calm and reflective break in their day.

Throughout the day, children have access to their lunchboxes for snacks during morning and afternoon tea.

    What our parents say

"The educators are incredibly caring and dedicated, and it’s clear how much the children love them. The learning environment is both fun and creative, with a beautiful nature-filled backyard that connects to Nail Can Hill.”

"I really appreciate the multicultural celebrations being included in the learning program—my kids love it!”

    Getting started

We warmly welcome parents to visit our centre to collect an enrolment form in person. Alternatively, you can email the Director to request a digital copy.

We encourage a conversation between the Director and your family to answer any questions, address any concerns and ensure a smooth transition for your child. This also gives our educators an opportunity to learn more about your child’s needs before their first day.

To begin the enrolment process, you can contact the centre on 02 7921 1285, or submit an Application for Care Form to join our waiting list. We will notify you as soon as a place becomes available.

Centre tours are available on request. Parents are welcome to visit at a time that suits them, and we’ll be happy to guide you through our facilities and learning spaces.

    Documents needed

To submit your application, you will need to provide:

    • Birth certificate
    • Medicare card
    • Health care/Pension card (if you have one)
    • Immunisation record (must be through Medicare, blue books are not accepted).

Please note: Children must meet government immunisation requirements or have an approved exemption to be eligible for Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

    How to enrol

There are five steps to complete enrolment:

    1. Apply for Child Care Subsidy (if eligible) – Parents/guardians submit a claim to Centrelink.
    2. Agree on care arrangements – To be confirmed between the Early Childhood Director (ECD) and parents/guardians.
    3. Submit the enrolment – The ECD submits an enrolment notice to Centrelink via HubHello.
    4. Confirm the enrolment – The parents/guardians verifiy the enrolment with Centrelink.
    5. Secure enrolment –  If you accept an offer, we’ll send a formal letter detailing the next steps. This includes submitting a birth certificate, proof of immunisation and a security deposit to secure your childcare placement.

Once the enrolment is completed and approved your entitlements can be calculated, and payments made. If there are no vacancies, we can add you to the waiting list.

Under Family Assistance Law, all children attending an early learning centre must have an enrolment notice, regardless of CCS eligibility. For eligible families, Centrelink/Services Australia can only process CCS claims once the correct enrolment is in place.
