SafeZone is a free safety app for Android and iPhone used by TAFE NSW to help keep you safe on campus.
Tropical Cyclone Alfred
Due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, many TAFE NSW locations across northern NSW have been closed for the safety of students and staff. Our Kingscliff and Murwillumbah campuses are being used as evacuation centres for the community.

Keeping you safe on campus
With the SafeZone app, you can:
- connect directly with the TAFE NSW Security Control Room
- call ‘000’ for emergency services
- check in at a campus manually or automatically
- share your GPS location
- receive real-time, location-specific updates on emergency and security issues.
Get started with SafeZone
When you download the app and sign up, you'll be asked to register for a SafeZone account.
Download the free SafeZone app to your phone from:
- Google Play for Androids, or
- Apple Store for iPhones.
The app uses minimal data and won't drain your battery.
Please note: SafeZone will only work after you have registered and while you are at a TAFE NSW campus.
