    Why work with us?

    Community impact

TAFE NSW Children’s Centres provide early learning education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. By caring for their children, we give parents the opportunity to fully participate in further study and work.

When you work at one of our centres, you’re not only educating our youngest learners, you’re giving parents peace of mind knowing their child is safe.

    Expand your creativity

At TAFE NSW Children’s Centres, you’ll be part of a team where your enthusiasm and ideas are seen and valued.

Every day, you’ll use your creativity to translate what you’re teaching into play-based learning experiences that help children learn and grow. Your creativity will also inspire you to combine intentional teaching with spontaneous learning moments that are fun for children.

    Professional development

You’ll be part of a strong professional network with conferences, training, and peer collaboration. This includes attending a TAFE NSW annual professional development forum, ongoing mentorship, and regular one-on-ones with your manager.

You’ll also be invited to participate in networking opportunities and NESA-accredited courses to support your growth.

    Industry-leading benefits

The benefits of working at a TAFE NSW Children’s Centre include 11% employer superannuation contributions, 17.5% annual leave loading, paid First Aid, CPR, Child Protection renewals, and free flu vaccinations.

    Work-life balance

We have a variety of part-time, full-time and casual roles available. There is also a Christmas shutdown period of 3-4 weeks.

    About you

Our educators are the heart and soul of our centres.

As child safety and wellbeing is our number one priority, you’ll work hard to consciously create a safe and supportive environment for children.

Our educators are caring, friendly, considerate, respectful and culturally sensitive. With every interaction, you’ll inspire children to grow their confidence and sense of identity.

You’ll also bring your creativity, enthusiasm and resilience to the job each day, to nurture each child’s natural curiosity and excitement to learn through play.

We are looking for educators who value diversity, inclusion and equality, and who embrace different cultural beliefs.

Our educators can be confident in knowing that what they do contributes directly to the wellbeing of children and their parents.
