Engage and partner with us

Six people are in a modern conference room around a wooden table. A man stands by a whiteboard presenting to the seated group, who are listening attentively.

    These include:

    Our strategic plan

Our 2022-2025 strategic plan outlines our goals to foster strong connections with industry, community, universities, schools and government.

    Our impact

TAFE NSW partnered with Central West's local communities, government, and industry to address their unique needs. Our joint efforts focused on equipping individuals facing intergenerational unemployment with the skills necessary to secure employment generated by regional infrastructure projects.

To support this initiative, we developed a pre-employment program in consultation with community stakeholders. The program supported the learning and cultural needs of 12 Indigenous students so that they could:

    • acquire skills and knowledge they needed that could serve the WaterNSW Lake Cargelligo Embankment Upgrade project
    • earn a Certificate II in Construction.

As a result of this community partnership:

    • 22% of the small community of 64 enrolled in the program
    • 85.7% of enrolled students completed the course
    • 8 students secured ongoing employment.
