TAFE NSW Lake Cargelligo is a truly unique campus set high above sea level, by the picturesque Lake Cargelligo. Courses at this campus are offered based on community demand and vary from semester to semester. Lake Cargelligo itself is a diverse rural community approximately 135kms from Griffith. High above sea level, Lake Cargelligo appears like an unexpected oasis on the flat western plains. The explorer and surveyor John Oxley was 'agreeably surprised' when he came across the Lake in 1817 and stated, 'the noble lake before me gave a character to the scenery highly picturesque and pleasing.'
