During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:
This course requires you to undertake practical assessments in a real health care facility. You'll be required to either travel to Sydney to complete the practical assessments at a TAFE organised workplace facility or source your own workplace facility. If you choose to source your own workplace facility, it will need to be approved by a TAFE assessor before you complete the assessment.
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Experience working in the healthcare industry
Access to a healthcare facility or workplace to complete skills assessments
An interest in the health and medical industry
Empathy and patience to work with real-life patients
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
Confidence using technology and workplace management systems
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Health Administration qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 15 units of competency, including 9 core and 6 speciality units.
