Entry requirements
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
Successful completion of the CHC33021 or CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate OR
Successful completion of the CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate
Completion requirements
During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:
A Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Vaccination and health screenings
Any additional evidence your work placement provider requires

These may vary depending on your place of work or where you choose to complete your work experience.
Entry recommendations
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Relevant employment or access to appropriate simulated workplace environments to prove your skills
An interest in working with diverse people and the ability to relate easily to others
The ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team

UnitsUnits taught in this course
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Disability Support qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 10 units of competency, including 7 core and 3 speciality units.
Please note, not all specialty units are offered at every TAFE NSW location. It is highly recommended that you check with your preferred campus for information about the specialty units offered at that location.
