Pathways to Employment Program - PEP
To assist with the transition to work in Australia, AMEP students may be eligible to take part in the Pathways to Employment Program.
The 200-hour Pathways to Employment Program (PEP) will help you:
- improve your English language skills for employment
- obtain assistance with work preparation skills, including creating your resume and developing your interviewing skills
- complete a number of nationally accredited vocational units
- put your learning into practice, with 40 hours of work placement
- develop your understanding of employer expectations and Australian workplace culture.
PEP is for AMEP students who:
- can commit to a full-time PEP course
- are ready to work or undertake further study
- are willing to participate in a 40-hour work placement.
Costs and funding
PEP is a subprogram of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and, for eligible students, is fully funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.
Childcare availability
If you have children who are too young for school, free childcare can be provided by Gowrie NSW.
