    Excited about the prospect of studying and working in the Information Technology (IT) industry? The Strategic Group Scholarship provides students with valuable real-life industry experience and a salary while working towards their qualifications.

    Offered by the Strategic Group and delivered by the Hunter TAFE Foundation for eligible applicants enrolled in the Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220), and studying at a TAFE NSW campus in Newcastle, Maitland, or Glendale.

    Newcastle-based Strategic Group launched in 1989. Since then, the Australian IT company has expanded nationally, offering businesses dynamic IT solutions to assist clients in growing and achieving their goals.

    Semester 1, 2025 intake now open – Applications close 5 pm (AEDT) Friday 28 February 2025

    Semester 2, 2025 intake - opens from Monday 5 May, and closes 5 pm (AEST) Friday 8 August 2025

    Who can apply?

    To apply for a Strategic Group Scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled in the Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220) at TAFE NSW in Newcastle, Maitland or Glendale
    • be 35 years old or under at the time of submitting your application form
    • be prepared to work one day per week with the Strategic Group during your allocated semester
    • demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals. You can do this by listing achievements, creating an action plan or identifying your skills and strengths.
    • be a good student and represent TAFE NSW and the Hunter TAFE Foundation well. You can demonstrate this by sharing positive grades and attendance records, character traits or values.
    • not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation for one year before 28 February 2025.
