This packaged program provides you with the professional skills and expertise to set you up for success in a range of roles within the hospitality and hotel industry. You’ll also build valuable business networks and connections with the mandatory work placement component.
You will study the Diploma subjects for the first 12 months. Students will then pathway to the Bachelor units of study for the remaining two years.
This is one of the unique benefits of the packaged program. Students are required to participate in a minimum of 300 hours work placement to complete the Bachelor units. These hours will be divided over the two years of the Bachelor program (150 hours in each year). The built-in work placement program will give you ‘real-world’ practical experience while studying to get you job ready.
TAFE NSW will secure work placement for you and assist with coordinating the workplace learning and other workplace activities.
You can study the Diploma face-to-face at either TAFE NSW Campbelltown, Kingswood, Ryde or Ultimo. The Bachelor study is available face-to-face at TAFE NSW Ultimo.
No prior knowledge is needed at TAFE NSW. We study the basics at the start and build from there.
You will receive a nationally recognised TAFE NSW Diploma of Hospitality Management SIT50422 and a Bachelor of Business, specialising in Hospitality and Hotel Management HE20614 for a career in senior management or leadership roles.
This study pathway has strong career outcomes in a range of areas such as managerial positions in food, beverage, accommodation and housekeeping operations, venue management, sales and human resources.
These industries are projected to experience strong growth in the coming years as the recovery post COVID-19 restrictions continues to gain momentum.
Students who have successfully completed an Advanced Diploma or Diploma of Hospitality or Hotel Management, or equivalent from another institution may be eligible for credit exemptions. Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
