TAFE Digital student Yasamin Irak, a Woodbine resident, has been recognised for her academic achievement and positive work ethic at the TAFE NSW Excellence Awards in Ryde last night.
Mrs Irak, who completed a Certificate III in Design Fundamentals in 2018, was announced as the winner of the Creative and Design Ideation Student of the Year, at a gala awards ceremony at TAFE NSW Ryde.
TAFE Digital General Manager, Megan Aitken, commended Mrs Irak for the commitment and dedication she has shown to her studies.
Mrs Aitken said, “I have no doubt these students will go on to forge highly successful careers and will be wonderful ambassadors for online learning and TAFE NSW. As a TAFE Digital student, our students all study online, at a time convenient to them, through their mobile or laptop, anytime during the day. Students can access teacher support or complete the studies on their own, at their own pace, which gives them great flexibility in their training and education.”
Mrs Irak said, “My experience with TAFE Digital was amazing as I never thought it was possible for me to finish the online course being the mother of a six month old baby. I became more confident in my creativity as I completed units and incorporated constructive feedback by very supportive teachers in the work I did.”
TAFE Digital is now accepting enrolments for hundreds of great courses. For information please visithttps://www.tafensw.edu.au/digitalor phone 131 601.
