TAFE NSW Coffs Harbour graduates are making their mark on the thriving arts industry at the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery’s UNBOXED 20:20 exhibition this month.
Over the next couple of weeks, UNBOXED 20:20 is displaying the diverse work of TAFE NSW Coffs Harbour graduates across a range of creative disciplines including Visual Arts, Ceramics, Photography, Furniture Design, Applied Fashion Design, Music, Screen and Media.
TAFE NSW Coffs Harbour Diploma of Visual Arts graduate Jasmine Winter said it’s a dream come true to have her work on exhibition at the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery.
“I’ve always been passionate about art and my goal is to establish my very own art practice one day. The exhibition provides a great opportunity to network and gain exposure, which is beneficial for my future career in the industry,” Ms Winter said.
“My experience at TAFE NSW has been so encouraging and supportive. I have dyslexia and sometimes require extra support but my teachers have been amazing.
“The focus on gaining practical skills from teachers who are recognised in the industry has been invaluable. I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge which I can draw on in my future career.”
Gallery and Museum Coordinator at Coffs Harbour City Council Cath Fogarty said the exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity for TAFE NSW graduates to showcase their artistic talent.
“The level of talent on display at the exhibition is impressive and being a part of an exhibition such as this is a huge milestone for emerging artists,” Ms Fogarty said.
“TAFE NSW Coffs Harbour has been providing quality education and training across the industry for many years, and the campus plays a huge role in fostering local talent.”
‘UNBOXED 20:20’ is open at Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery until 21 November 2020.
