Henry Lawson High School senior students have described Friday’s ‘Funds for the Future’ day of workshops at TAFE NSW Grenfell as a valuable learning experience.
Approximately 30 students participated in a number of important workshops that will help them prepare for life after high school. The event was sponsored by the National Australia Bank and topics covered included preparing for tax and super, creating a personal budget, more than money, and jag a job – which included helpful resume writing hints and tips.
Henry Lawson High School student Adrian Shaw said, “It’s been a good day. I liked the class interaction and I especially enjoyed learning about how important it is to create a personal budget with Mark Aspin.”
TAFE NSW Grenfell Services Coordinator Tracey Mackay added, “The students really seemed to benefit a lot from the various presentations, and it was great to showcase the range of post school options that are available at the TAFE NSW Connected Learning Centre.”
