National Environment Centre
The TAFE NSW National Environment Centre (NEC) is situated in the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people.
The NEC campus at Thurgoona, north of the city of Albury, includes a 180-hectare agroecology principle-based farm. This purpose-built learning centre prepares you for a successful career in environmental management and related fields by giving you access to industry-experienced teachers and state-of-the-art equipment and machinery. The focus is on real-world experience.
The NEC offers specialised training in civil construction, conservation and ecosystem management, Geographic Information System (GIS), water operations and farming. It also provides a well-grounded context for courses in environmental studies and sustainability.
The farm shop at the NEC seasonally sells lamb, pork, honey and some vegetables to the public.
