National Environment Centre
The TAFE NSW National Environment Centre (NEC) is situated in the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people.
The NEC campus at Thurgoona, north of the city of Albury, includes a 180-hectare organically certified farm. This purpose-built learning centre prepares you for a successful career in environmental management and related fields by giving you access to industry-experienced teachers and a state-of-the-art equipment and machinery. The focus is on real-world experience.
The NEC offers specialised training in civil construction, natural resource management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), water operations, and farming. It also provides a well-grounded context for courses in environmental studies and sustainable agriculture.
The on-farm shop at NEC is open most Thursday afternoons to sell lamb, pork, honey, some vegetables and flour.
