    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • Successful completion of the Certificate III in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles or equivalent as evidenced by a copy of your certificate, transcript or industry experience

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • An interest in working backstage in theatre or television

    • An interest in costume design and production

    • Fundamental sewing skills and an understanding of pattern-making

    • The ability to pay a materials fee of approximately $300 to cover costume and garment fees

    • The ability to work during intense production weeks

    • Basic computer skills and access to a computer with internet and Microsoft Office 365

    • The ability to manage self-paced/self-directed study

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Live Production and Technical Services (Costume) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 units of competency, including 4 core and 12 speciality units.
