    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Coordinate production operations

    • Create storyboards

    • Shoot material for screen productions such as short films and documentaries

    • Edit dialogue and sound and other digital content, for fast turnaround

    • Record sound on location

    • Set up locations contributing to production concepts and deciding on audio and video equipment positions

    • Network with the industry in order to build networks and foster future work opportunities

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • An interest in, or understanding of the skills and knowledge required in the industry

    • Completed a Certificate III in Screen and Media or have equivalent industry experience

    • Access to a computer and internet access

    • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Screen and Media (Film and Video Production) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 13 units of competency, including 4 core and 9 speciality units.
