    • Evaluate different creative business practices and identify ways of costing and selling creative work

    • Direct camera and lighting crews according to production requirements

    • Record sound effects

    • Test special makeup effects that are applied to performers' skin and scalp

    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • Successful completion of the Diploma of Screen and Media as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate, or

    • Equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in a relevant specialisation area such as film and video, radio/content production, animation/games and production design as evidenced by a copy of a resume

    • The ability to attend an interview prior to enrolment which may include a skills assessment

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • A collaborative and positive approach to teamwork

    • An aptitude for both technical and creative work

    • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 units of competency, including 4 core and 12 speciality units.
