    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • Successful completion of the Certificate III in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate OR

    • Successful completion of the Certificate III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology (MST30819) as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • An interest in the fashion and business industry including marketing

    • Access to the internet and a computer to complete research for projects and private study

    • The resources to purchase equipment, fabric and consumable items to complete your course projects. The cost of items and materials will vary depending on the number of garments you create, the materials you choose and may vary from campus to campus.

    UnitsUnits taught in this course

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Apparel, Fashion and Textiles (Business) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 25 units of competency, including 9 core and 16 speciality units.

    Please note, not all specialty units are offered at every TAFE NSW location. It is highly recommended that you check with your preferred campus for information about the specialty units offered at that location.
