In this short course you’ll learn about the renewable energy industry and how to design, develop and implement renewable energy systems and technologies to create a more sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come.
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Conduct practical experiments with renewable energy equipment
Produce a report from practical field work or a site visit
Present your design project in a collaborative environment
Develop specialist skills to gain an advantage in the job market
A microcredential certificate
Specialist skills to critically assess issues in renewable energy and sustainability industry
Recognition of prior learning if you choose to continue on, to study the Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
Provide evidence of relevant previous studies such as a course transcript
Experience working in the industry
Attend a pre-admission interview where you will also be asked to complete a numeracy task - this helps us to understand how we can support your study success and provide you with any necessary support
Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

A PC or laptop to access study materials and complete your assessments. You can access this equipment on campus, however it is highly recommended you have your own equipment available.
You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.
If you are unable to meet the entry requirements, you may be eligible for special admission.
