The Undergraduate Certificate in Renewable Energy Engineering is a fantastic course for those wanting to fast-track their learning or gain credit for half of the Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering.
Learn about the renewable energy industry and how to design, develop and implement renewable energy systems and technologies to create a more sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come. Graduate with an Undergraduate Certificate in Renewable Energy Engineering (AQF 5)
Eligibility to apply for Clean Energy Council Grid-connect Design Only accreditation (provisional)
Recognition of prior learning if you choose to continue on to study the Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering
This course has been accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA)
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent or
A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent or
A completed Certificate IV or higher vocational qualification
Have mathematics knowledge to HSC level or equivalent before entering this course, or you may be required to undertake a bridging program or preparatory maths course. All students will submit a skills assessment questionnaire to test their maths capabilities.
Attend a pre-admission interview where you may also be asked to complete a short literacy and numeracy task - this helps us to understand how we can support your study success and provide you with any necessary support.
Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
A strong desire to design and innovate renewable energy sources and energy storage systems
Passion for renewable energy, sustainability and the environment
An interest in science, technology, engineering, design and mathematics
A personal computer or laptop to access study materials and complete your assessments. You can access this equipment on campus, however, it is highly recommended you have your own equipment available.
You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.
