Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Investigate the variety of early childhood services that provide educational programs for children
Follow and adhere to licensing and regulations (National Quality Standard, National Law and Regulations (ACECQA), Early Years Learning Framework)
Devise strategies to recruit, lead and mentor others
Work closely with your peers and collaborate in a teamwork environment
Develop your financial management and marketing knowledge to promote your service within a specific context
Develop specialist skills to gain an advantage in the job market
A microcredential qualification in Manage an Early Childhood Education and Care Service
The knowledge to examine early childhood education and care service compliance regarding regulatory requirements
Experience in outlining early childhood education and care service operational management requirements
The skills to devise strategies to lead and mentor others in quality assurance system requirements
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent or
A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent or
A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification
Attend a pre-admission interview where you may also be asked to complete a short literacy and numeracy task - this helps us to understand how we can support your study success and provide you with any necessary support
Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Knowledge and awareness of registered centres and early childcare environments
A current First Aid Certificate including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma awareness training to meet WorkCover requirements
The Child Protection Awareness Training (induction) Unit of Competence CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk of harm
The ability to work with people in difficult situations and circumstances
Awareness that you’ll need to attend a 5 1/2 hour orientation before class commences
Decision-making skills and the ability to respond and act quickly in situations
The ability to improve quality outcomes for children, families, colleagues and services
You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.
