    Fine-tune your spatial information technical expertise as you learn a wide range of software and data skills. Produce maps and terrain visuals, and gain attributes valued in geospatial technicians, cartographers, town planning officers and more, across a range of industries.

    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Extensive working experience in the spatial information services industry, as evidenced by your resume OR

    • Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services, as evidenced by your academic transcript

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • Employment in the industry, or access to work experience

    • The ability to adapt to complex software programs

    • Good literacy, numeracy and technology skills

    • An interest in developing your leadership style

    • An understanding of how environmental systems function and translate to digital systems

    • Experience in IT management and with complex software programs

    • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Spatial Information Services qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 15 Units of competency, including 7 core and 8 speciality units.
