    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Surveying, the Certificate IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services (Surveying) as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate or

    • Significant, relevant work experience where your tasks and capabilities reflect the maths and Excel units of competency in the above Certificate IV qualifications, as evidenced by a letter from your employer or resume

    During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:

    • A Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment. This skills test helps us to understand your individual study needs and to provide you with the appropriate support for your study success.

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • Advanced numeracy skills

    • An excellent knowledge of industry software

    • The ability to provide your own personal protective equipment (PPE) consisting of covered shoes, a long-sleeve fluoro shirt, a wide-brimmed sunhat and long pants

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Surveying qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 Units of competency, including 8 core and 8 speciality units.
