The Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning (Professional Practice) allows you to complete three Financial Adviser Standards (FAS) accredited bridging courses that address ethics and professional standards for financial planners; commercial and corporations law for financial planners; and behavioural finance for financial planners. Together with the subject ‘Applied Financial Advice’ you will be eligible to receive the award of Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning (Professional Practice) after one semester of study.

Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Act in accordance with regulatory requirements to provide financial advice
Develop and analyse financial solutions to maximise the financial wellbeing of clients
Explain financial concepts, industry products, legal and regulatory requirements and global financial issues to clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
Apply ethical practices when working with clients and stakeholders
Develop specialist skills to gain an advantage in the job market
Graduate with a Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning (Professional Practice)
Practical, industry-focused skills in financial planning
Experience in creating and implementing detailed financial plans
Confidence to prepare statements of advice
Government approved degree (formerly FASEA approved course). Also accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA)
For existing financial planners/advisers or those attaining the Professional Year (PY), a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate will be provided upon successful completion of this subject. Please check with your licensee on the CPD policy requirements
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
That you are currently practicing as a financial planner or adviser and hold a degree or higher qualification in a finance related field (that is not a Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority [FASEA] approved course)
Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer
This is not a FASEA approved course
