Smart and Skilled

Smart and Skilled is a Government initiative that identifies in-demand jobs, and gives subsidies to eligible students enrolling in the courses that train skilled workers to fill those jobs.

The Smart and Skilled fee structure balances affordability for students while maximising the number of training places that can be funded. If you are eligible to do a Smart and Skilled course, you may also be eligible for fee exemptions or concessions. To learn more visit this page.

Fee-free apprenticeships

As part of a strategy to create a steady stream of skilled Australians, The NSW Department of Industry is paying the student fees on behalf of any apprentice. 

So if you've been thinking about starting an apprenticeship, there's never been a better time to explore your fee-free apprenticeship options.

VET Student Loans

VET Student Loans allow eligible students to study an approved diploma or advanced diploma course, and then repay their tuition fees later on when you start making money at your great new job.

This means that you don't have to have the money up-front before you enrol in a great TAFE NSW diploma course. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can earn your qualification without the stress of repaying it until later on.

TAFE NSW Degrees

Domestic students studying a TAFE NSW Degree pay tuition fees for each subject they are enrolled in each semester. International students studying a TAFE NSW Degree pay tuition fees on a per-course basis. 

Fees and payments for TAFE NSW Degrees can vary from course to course, they are reviewed yearly and can be subject to change. Additional fees for equipment and resources may be required throughout their course, but if you chat with your course coordinator to find out what that might involve.
