The NSW visitor economy spans a wide range of industries that provide goods and services to visitors who travel to a destination for purposes such as leisure, education, business and employment. From sport and art to education, tourism services and retail, the visitor economy delivers significant benefits to the community.
The Visitor Economy encompasses all the elements that make for a successful visitor destination, including town centre management, cultural events, retail, dining, and the evening economy. Certificate III graduates go straight onto roles such as: booking agent, visitor information officer, tour guide, accommodation receptionist, food and beverage attendant, event and exhibition coordinator, logistics assistant, meetings assistant and venue assistant. Or complete further study at TAFE NSW to launch their careers in management level positions.

Launch your Career is a partnership between the Department of Education (DoE) NSW and TAFE NSW. The Launch your Career program provides early career engagement opportunities for students from K to 12 and beyond. It aims to broaden aspirations and strengthen student transition into the world of work, further education, and training.
