    Are you studying an early childhood education course at a TAFE NSW in the Hunter Region or Central Coast this year? Do you identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander? If so, you can apply for the Walkom Education Scholarship, valued at $500.

    The Walkom Education scholarship is awarded to one student every semester, to support their studies in early childhood education. Established by Walkom Real Estate in Newcastle and delivered by the Hunter TAFE Foundation, this scholarship has an immediate impact and supports long-term career aspirations

    Applications for the next Walkom Education Scholarship will close at 5 pm (AEDT), Friday 4 April 2025.

    Who can apply?

    To apply for a Walkom Education Scholarship, you must:

    • identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and be committed to your community and want to be involved in community activities
    • be currently enrolled in one of the following courses at TAFE NSW in the Hunter or Central Coast regions:
    • explain how financial challenges affect your study
    • demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals. You can do this by listing achievements, creating an action plan or identifying your skills and strengths
    • be a good student and represent TAFE NSW and the Hunter TAFE Foundation well. You can demonstrate this by sharing positive grades and attendance records, character traits or values
    • not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation for one year before 4 April 2025.
