Nominations are now open for the Sonia Walkom Memorial Award. The award recognises the dedication of a student enrolled in Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) at TAFE NSW Newcastle, TAFE Cessnock, TAFE NSW Maitland, or TAFE Digital.
The Sonia Walkom Memorial Award honours students who demonstrate exceptional attendance, self-discipline, and a strong interest in the real estate sector. These students show dedication to their studies and exhibit professionalism. This recognition has the potential to enhance their overall well-being, increase confidence, improve academic performance, and positively influence their future career prospects.
In 2015, Scott Walkom and the team at Walkom Real Estate established the Sonia Walkom Memorial Award in partnership with the Hunter TAFE Foundation. They wanted to honour Sonia and her enthusiasm for continuous learning throughout her successful career.
