    Do you know a TAFE NSW student enrolled in Certificate IV in Aeroskills (MEA40618) in Newcastle, or Central Coast regions deserving of a flying start to their career? Nominate them for a Regional Development Australia (RDA) Hunter Aviation Award.

    Established in 2023, the award is an extension of the partnership between TAFE NSW and RDA Hunter, aimed at fostering a skilled aviation workforce and driving economic growth in the region. Valued at $2,000, the award's assessment criteria include practical evaluation and teacher review.

    Applications for an RDA Hunter Aviation Award close at 5 pm (AEST), Friday 29 August 2025.

    Who can be nominated?

    To be nominated and apply for an RDA Hunter Aviation Award, you must:

    • be enrolled in the Certificate IV in Aeroskills (MEA40618-01) at TAFE NSW Newcastle (Tighes Hill)
    • reside and study within the Newcastle, Hunter or Central Coast regions
    • demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals by outlining your aspirations, listing achievements or identifying your skills and strengths
    • be motivated to work in the aviation industry
    • be a good student and represent TAFE NSW, RDA Hunter and the Hunter TAFE Foundation by demonstrating this by sharing positive grades, attendance records, character traits or values
    • be willing to participate in events and marketing activities with RDA, to share your learning journey with others
    • not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation for one year before 29 August 2025.
