    Are you a numbers person? Are you motivated to work in finance or accounting? Studying at a TAFE NSW in the Hunter Region or Central Coast this year? Choosing a career can be straightforward for some students, while others struggle with the financial side of pursuing their dream profession. For many, knowing exactly what they want to do comes naturally, but the practicalities of making it happen can pose a challenge.

    The Bean Counters Encouragement Scholarship acknowledges dedication to studying accounting and finance.

    Two scholarships will be awarded, each worth $1,500. This financial support aims to reduce study expenses and inspire course completion, so you can enter the workforce with confidence.

    Applications for the Bean Counters Encouragement Scholarship close at 5 pm (AEDT) Friday 4 April 2025.

    Who can apply?

    To apply for a Bean Counters Scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled in Certificate III in Accounts Administration (FNS30322) or Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (FNS40222) at a TAFE NSW in the Hunter Region or Central Coast, or TAFE Digital
    • live or study within the Hunter or Central Coast regions
    • explain how personal or financial challenges affect your study
    • demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals by listing your achievements, creating an action plan, or identifying your skills and strengths
    • be a good student and represent TAFE NSW and the Hunter TAFE Foundation by sharing your positive grades and attendance records, character traits or values
    • not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation for one year before 4 April 2025.
