The TAFE NSW Athlete Education Pathway is designed to help high performing sportspeople balance their studies and achieve their long-term career goals, while continuing to compete in high level sport.
TAFE NSW provides dedicated and personalised assistance through an Athlete Pathway Manager, helping learners navigate their studies, whilst juggling demanding training schedules and competitions. No matter what your goal, there’s a course at TAFE NSW to help you achieve it. With flexible study options and industry experienced teachers, our nationally recognised courses will ensure you have the practical skills and support you need to make a life changing move.
The TAFE NSW Athlete Education Pathway is accessible to all current categorised athletes and coaches, Alumni athletes and emerging and developing athletes who sit on level 1-5 on the Athlete Categorisation table for an AIS funded sport. In practice, these are athletes engaged in training and/or competition at a state, national or international level. If an athlete falls outside of this categorisation, they may apply for consideration by TAFE NSW.
