    Studying real estate courses at TAFE NSW equips you with the skills required to manage various property types. It’s a great way to prepare for a rewarding, hands-on career in the real estate industry.

    The Walkom Real Estate Scholarship awards $500 to a student studying the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) at TAFE NSW in Newcastle, Cessnock, Maitland or online, and living in the Newcastle local government area and surrounding areas. This scholarship was established in 2020 by Scott Walkom and the Walkom Real Estate team, and provides financial support to one student every semester.     Who can apply?

    To apply for a Walkom Real Estate Scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled in Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) at TAFE NSW’s Newcastle, Cessnock or Maitland campuses, or TAFE Digital
    • live within the Newcastle local government area or surrounding areas
    • demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals. You can do this by listing achievements, creating an action plan or identifying your skills and strengths
    • be a good student and represent TAFE NSW and the Hunter TAFE Foundation well. You can demonstrate this by sharing positive grades and attendance records, character traits or values
    • not have received a scholarship from the Hunter TAFE Foundation for one year before 1 November 2024
