ECEC Professional Learning Program
The NSW Department of Education has partnered with TAFE NSW to launch an exciting new program that will support the professional learning of early childhood educators and teachers across NSW. As part of an election commitment, Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) professionals will have the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge, uplift their skills and grow their careers with access to fee-free*, targeted online professional learning and leadership development programs.

Delivered in partnership between the NSW Department of Education and TAFE NSW, this fee-free* program will help early childhood education and care (ECEC) professionals across NSW access quality professional learning to uplift professional capability and support career growth.
Online microskills will be universally available to all ECEC professionals, regardless of their qualifications and experience.
Recognising the aim of the ECEC Workforce election commitment to address burnout and retention, leadership programs will be designed in collaboration with ECEC sector experts to provide targeted leadership capability development.
The program forms part of a suite of initiatives being developed by the NSW Department of Education to attract and retain ECEC professionals. It builds on TAFE NSW’s ongoing commitment to train ECEC educators and teachers through VET qualifications and an early childhood teaching degree program.
