Traineeship
TAFE NSW also offers the Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation as a traineeship. To be eligible to enrol as a trainee you must:
Be employed in the sport and recreation industry as this course is delivered in the workplace
Have a signed traineeship contract

A Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Entry recommendations
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Adequate fitness to complete outdoor recreation tasks such as bushwalking or canoeing
Mobility to deliver First Aid such as performing CPR while kneeling on the floor
good time management skills
Experience using computers and access to the internet and a computer or other mobile device
Time for self-paced study and assessment completion outside of scheduled class times

UnitsUnits taught in this course
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Outdoor Leadership qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 22 units of competency, including 9 core and 13 speciality units.
Please note, not all specialty units are offered at every TAFE NSW location. It is highly recommended that you check with your preferred campus for information about the specialty units offered at that location.
