    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • You must be 18 years of age to enrol in this course because you have to be 18 to legally operate the machinery

    Completion requirements

    During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:

    • 100 points of ID are required to sit the licence assessment

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN), level of 2 or 3, the equivalent of Year 10 English and Maths

    • Experience in handling tools and equipment

    • The ability to understand and follow safety guidelines

    • The ability to pay attention to detail

    Licensing

    Once you have been deemed competent in the TAFE NSW order picker assessment, TAFE will organise a SafeWork assessment in order for you to achieve your LO class high-risk work licence. 100 points of ID are required to sit the licence assessment. Licence assessment is taken in English. No interpreters are permitted during the Safework NSW licence assessment.
