    Use your outgoing personality to set the scene for successful real estate sales. Learn techniques to drive an auction’s momentum and close and manage sales with flair. Be eligible to apply for your auctioneer accreditation with NSW Fair Trading.

    Learning outcomes

    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Prepare an auction strategy

    • Liaise with the vendor and sales agent

    • Confirm the details of the contract and the property

    • Call an auction and complete the auction process, including when a property is sold and when a property is passed in

    • Identify the successful bidder and confirm their legal entity

    • Complete contract details, and ensure that all required signatures are obtained

    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • A valid class 1 or 2 real estate agent or stock and station agent licence

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • A driver's licence and an ability to travel

    • A keen interest in networking and building relationships

    • The ability to work after hours and on weekends to meet customer demands

    • Experience as a real estate agent and have attended real estate auctions as a listing agent

    • A dynamic personality

    Licensing

    Successful completion of this course will allow you to apply for your auctioneer accreditation with the NSW Office of Fair Trading. You need this accreditation to conduct real estate auctions as an accredited auctioneer in NSW.
