    Kick-start your career in the fashion in industry with the Diploma of Fashion at the Fashion Design Studio in Ultimo. In this Higher Education Diploma, you'll achieve a broad understanding of the fashion business from textiles, to design and illustration, through to fashion branding and marketing.

    You’ll get real-world, practical experience using the latest design software and gain a solid understanding of the design process, all the way from conception to production. In this course, you’ll develop an a strong understanding of the fashion industry and gain the foundational skills to work in a design context or a fashion business environment.

    Learning outcomes

    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Apply creative design and business practices in a fashion context

    • Research, analyse and propose fashion design and business ideas using appropriate methodologies and technologies

    • Communicate effectively within a fashion context by using a range of fashion-specific communication methods and technologies

    • Work ethically and sustainably when working individually and with others, to achieve fashion business goals

    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following:

    • A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent or

    • A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent or

    • A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification

    • Completion of at least one-year full-time study or equivalent in a degree course at a higher education institution

    You must also:

    • Submit a 300-word statement outlining your motivation and interest in studying the Diploma of Fashion. This will help us assess and understand your suitability for entry into this course.

    Note:

    • Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

    You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.
