To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
A minimum English language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent across the four macro skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing
Interest in studying a higher education diploma or degree
A desire to understand the expectations and culture of academic life in Australia

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in English for Academic Purposes qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 6 units of competency, including 6 core and 0 speciality units.
