    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • An interest in urban and domestic irrigation

    • Physical fitness to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for long periods

    • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team

    • Good planning and organisational skills

    • Your own personal protective equipment, including a cotton long-sleeved shirt, cotton long-sleeved pants, leather work boots and a brimmed hat suitable for working outdoors

    Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Irrigation Technology qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 22 units of competency, including 9 core and 13 speciality units.
