Learn the basics of CNC machining including how to operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines in this 8-week course. Join as a beginner or hobbyist and gain in-demand skills and an introduction to engineering environments.
During this course you'll learn to:
Understand basic principles and history of CNC machining
Set up CNC machines for use and make machine adjustments
Use different CNC machine types including lathes and/or milling machines
Inspect machined projects to ensure they meet specifications, including measuring with a micrometer
Read and interpret basic engineering drawings
You'll leave this course with:
A Certificate of Attendance

To be prepared for this course, we recommend you have:
An intermediate level of fitness to manage the physical demands of using CNC machines
The ability to provide your own personal protective equipment (PPE)
Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level
