During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:
A Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Check (NDISWC)
Vaccination and health screenings

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
A desire to support people with complex needs
Patience and a kind, helpful nature
Computer literacy
The ability to collaborate and work well with others
Confidence in your literacy to be able to take client notes

Our graduates go onto roles like: community service support worker with the Certificate III in Community Services, community service worker with the Certificate IV in Community Services, youth worker with the Certificate IV in Youth Work, alcohol and other drugs worker with the Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, mental health peer worker with the Diploma in Mental Health Peer work and mental health worker with the Diploma in Mental Health.
Licensing
To work in the community services industry you will often be required to complete a National Police Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Check (NDISWC), as well as the required vaccinations and health screenings.
