    During this course you'll learn to:

    • Understand and identify different types of wood and their properties

    • Use basic woodworking tools, safely maintaining and handling them

    • Measure, mark, and cut wood with precision

    • Apply basic joining techniques, including the use of screws, nails, and wood joints

    • Sand and finish wood to create introductory woodworking projects

    • Practise safe work habits with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in a workshop environment
