    • Organise, brief and work alongside tradespeople

    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    • Successful completion of the Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate

    • Employment in the cabinet making industry or a related industry, as the course assessments are based on workplace activities

    • Dedication to following safety procedures

    • The ability to supervise a team with other trades

    Licensing

    A white card (or general construction induction card) is required for any worker who needs to access a construction site and will be necessary for many workplaces in the cabinetry industry. Local regulations should also be checked for requirements. Visit the SafeWork website for more information on applying for your white card. A joinery licence is necessary to work within residential building work that includes making built-in cupboards and wardrobes. Local regulations should also be checked for requirements. Visit the NSW Fair Trading website for more information on applying for your joinery licence. This course will help build your portfolio to apply for the kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovation licence. To gain this licence you will need to already have a joinery licence.
