With a construction career in sight, this course will build the foundational skills you need to land your apprenticeship. Get a grip on equipment, planning, safety and even report writing to set yourself up for a confident start in the industry.
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Confidently select and use a range of construction tools and equipment
Work and communicate effectively in a team to plan, follow procedures and perform construction tasks
Plan, prepare, select manufacturing processes, assemble and clean up a basic construction project
Identify environmental and resource efficiency requirements, and follow best practice
Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.

Knowledge to check for hazardous scenarios on a building site such as overhead power lines and underground services
