Get an introduction to what it’s like to work as a labourer. With a focus on concreting, you’ll learn to use tools such as edgers and cement mixers. You’ll also learn how to maintain and clean equipment, as well as apply proper safe work practices.

Your own PPE gear, such as steel-capped work boots, earmuffs and safety glasses
A reasonable level of physical strength to carry out the tasks of a concreter
Problem-solving abilities
Good time management skills and a reliable nature
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level
