    Are you ready to soar to new heights? This short course is your beginner's guide to drone flying and fundamentals. Learn to take photos using drones, apply safety requirements, and understand how to choose the right drone for your business or hobby.

    OutcomesWhat you'll gain

    Learning outcomes

    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Select the right equipment, prepare flight maps and digital camera settings, and plan for weather conditions

    • Evaluate, prepare, test and use drones of different sizes

    • Apply drone piloting skills during departure, flight and landing

    • Use a drone-mounted digital camera to capture photos and videos while adjusting photographic settings such as lighting, resolution and framing

    • Download, review and select photos to use, and receive feedback on image quality

    Course outcomes

    Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.

    • A nationally accredited Statement of Attainment

    • Specialist skills to fly a drone up to 120 metres
