    • Develop art composition and use formal elements such as direction, rhythm and perspective

    • Recognise the relationship between dark, light and mid tone elements

    • Apply basic colour theory and colour to your paintings

    • Prepare the surface of your canvas

    • Finish your artwork with varnish and hanging devices
