Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Design a character from scratch, replicating the industry standard workflow
Draw characters from the front, side and back. In industry, this is known as a 'turnaround'
Produce a portfolio of professional concept character drawings
Build physical 3D modelling clay representations of characters
Draw models in costume to learn about how bodies and garments move
Incorporate feedback to improve your work
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.
A nationally accredited Statement of Attainment in Concept Character Design
A portfolio of great character concept art that you've created using the same processes that professionals use
Strong pathways to further study in game development, animation, design, illustration or fashion

Drawing experience
Interest in generating visual concept designs for games and animation
An eye for design
Access to drawing materials such as pencil and paper
If you choose to draw digitally you will need access to a laptop Wacom or tablet
