    The Diploma of Business prepares you to work in business, human resources or marketing contexts across a wide range of industries in both national and international contexts. You will gain foundational knowledge of management, finance, technology information systems, economics and marketing elements of integrated business strategy to set yourself up for success in any industry. You’ll also receive credit for the subjects you complete in this course if you decide to continue your studies with the Bachelor of Business.

    Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

    • Understand the theoretical foundations of business theories and concepts and how they apply to real-world business situations

    Entry requirements

    This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

    You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following:

      • A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent or
      • A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent or
      • Completion of a certificate IV or higher vocational qualification or
      • Completion of at least one year full-time study or equivalent in a degree course at a higher education institution

    You must also:

      • Have maths knowledge to HSC level or equivalent. If you don’t have sufficient maths knowledge, you may have to do a bridging program or preparatory maths course.

    Note

      • Your certificates, transcripts and other entry requirement evidence must be certified through a Justice of the Peace or other authorising officer

    Entry recommendations

    To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

    • A keen interest in business

    • An interest in managing people and organisations

    • A driven and goal-oriented attitude

    • Maths knowledge to HSC level or equivalent

    You do not require an ATAR score for entry into this course.

    If you are unable to meet the entry requirements, you may be eligible for special admission.
