Completion requirements
During your study you’ll need to provide your teacher with the following evidence:
Appropriate workshop clothing including closed shoes, long pants and sleeved shirts
Materials for making samples including metals, gemstones and solders and consumable items such as drills, saw blades, emery paper, etc. (these items can be purchased from the tool store on campus)

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

The ability to work with your hands
The ability to pay for extra items and equipment to take to your workshops (cost of approx. $100)
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

This skills test helps us to understand your individual study needs, to design an individualised plan that supports your study success and ensures your LLN skills match the demands of the course.

UnitsUnits taught in this course
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 96 weighting points, including 33 core and 63 speciality units.
Please note, not all specialty units are offered at every TAFE NSW location. It is highly recommended that you check with your preferred campus for information about the specialty units offered at that location.
